Google Wave – The Next Generation Web 2.0 Technology
I just got accepted into trying out Google Wave before its official launch. Let me tell you that Google Wave is SO COOL and I’m EXCITED!!
I’m only just trying out and I can already see the potential of this being a great communication platform in my opinion, and I haven’t explored all the features(and bugs) yet!
Google Wave is a bit like Twitter +Facebook + Email + online chat + a lot more ……. all in one place. And there are many other added features and functions as well. Take a quick look at the screenshot I just took from my account:
Also, you can use Google Wave with Twitter API to integrate tweets into your account as well, so technically it’s not a competitor to Twitter but rather helping users to integrate and organize tasks into one single platform with added Google features such as Google Map. Plus you can add “extensions” to add even more functionality such as weather, video chat, online games and more……..the expansion is endless if there are enough “extensions” to be created.
I have no doubt Google Wave will be the next hit in Web 2.0 technology when it launches, and I’m so glad to have been selected to try it out.

Google Wave was introduced at a conference several months back and I was able to watch the video recording of the presentation soon afterwords.I was enthralled at its vast capabilities even back then when it still had a few flaws.
It is a lot more than instant messaging or conferencing.The ability to play back a conversation and then become part of it is outstanding.Each group of any size can have invited members carry on a private group discussion.Yet there is even more : some of the members can have a “side” discussion while the others carry on and still remain in the ‘loop’.It’s almost like being there in the board room or restaurant ,having a single or multiple conversations amongst friens or co-workers.
As mentioned,you can bring along [insert] documents,audio,video or show off pictures of your family outing or a project you are collaborating on.
The list of features goes on.So why not join Google Wave and be astounded yourself.

I have been lucky to get an account as well, definitely alot of potential, only problem for me is that I only have a few contacts that seem to relize its potential my other contacts don’t seem to get it, but then again one of them only got an email in March of this year, now you can not stop her.
