Inspirations From Will Smith
I’ve watched a lot of movies by Will Smith and he’s a favourite actor of mine. I stumbled upon this video a while ago and watched it with great pleasure. What I like about this video is that there’re quite a few “words of wisdom” in it and this video is both inspirational and motivational.
Take a few minutes of your time to watch this video compilation of different interview with Will Smith over the years talking about life, success, and mindset. He certainly has the right kind of mindset to be successful(and that’s why he’s successful!)
How To Find a Niche
One of the biggest questions that is asked by online Internet marketers is how to find a niche the right way. It seems like every guru has their own opinion as to how to find the perfect niche.
In fact, you could buy dozens of different pieces of software that all purport to find you the perfect niche in less than 2 seconds. No matter what, it is really important to remember a few things about doing niche research.
The first thing you have to remember is to use your own brain. Our brains are stronger than any computer could ever be, so it is vitally important that before you start doing research into key words and niches, that you sit down and think with your brain. There many different ways to brainstorm niche ideas from looking at certain websites to watching television commercials.
One key to remember is that if an advertiser is spending thousands of dollars to run a commercial about a product, they are likely making big money on the product. Therefore, you can get some great niche ideas simply from listening to the radio and watching television.
For example, if you are watching a children’s show and a particular toy commercial keeps coming on over and over, you can bet that it is very popular right now. While you may not be able to create a website using a trademarked name, you can certainly write articles and point people to a toy website you created. Then you can decide whether you want to monetize that using a particular vendor or even Adsense ads.
Another way to get great ideas for niches is by going to the local bookstore and looking through magazines. For example, let’s assume that you want to get into the cycling niche. You could look through several cycling magazines and see what the hot topics are right now. Then, you can do your keyword research based upon that and create a website that people are going to be looking for.
Another great way to start doing your niche research is by reading forums on particular topics. As in our example above about cycling, you can search Google for cycling forums and find out what the top questions are that people have right now. It might be that people want to know about a particular type of bicycle or a new accessory. You can then start doing your keyword research based upon those questions and create a website that fills that need.
As you can see, there are many different ways to do niche research and we haven’t even used a software program yet. Using your brain first will help you get deeper into a particular topic before you start doing your niche research.
Once you have a seed topic then you can go online and use the Google Adwords tool to narrow down your new niche. If more people did their keyword research this way they would uncover untapped niche areas. Instead, most people spend all their time chasing the large, competitive niches such as weight loss, Internet marketing and stop smoking products.

First Profits From Clickbank
After such long hard work and many hours spent sitting in my room with the computer I could finally see some result. It’s hardly anything meaningful but at least it proves that it’s possible to make money online especially through a well known online marketplace like Clickbank where some people might say it’s already overcrowded.
I took this screenshot a couple days ago while this current week just started. The account was opened during the first week of this month so of course all the previous weeks were zero. So last week I made 76 bucks from affiliate commissions. Nothing fancy about this as I know many of you(myself included) have seen better numbers than mine but at least I get the boost of motivation to keep going.
Better get my butt going now!!

Google Wave – The Next Generation Web 2.0 Technology
I just got accepted into trying out Google Wave before its official launch. Let me tell you that Google Wave is SO COOL and I’m EXCITED!!
I’m only just trying out and I can already see the potential of this being a great communication platform in my opinion, and I haven’t explored all the features(and bugs) yet!
Google Wave is a bit like Twitter +Facebook + Email + online chat + a lot more ……. all in one place. And there are many other added features and functions as well. Take a quick look at the screenshot I just took from my account:
Also, you can use Google Wave with Twitter API to integrate tweets into your account as well, so technically it’s not a competitor to Twitter but rather helping users to integrate and organize tasks into one single platform with added Google features such as Google Map. Plus you can add “extensions” to add even more functionality such as weather, video chat, online games and more……..the expansion is endless if there are enough “extensions” to be created.
I have no doubt Google Wave will be the next hit in Web 2.0 technology when it launches, and I’m so glad to have been selected to try it out.

I Was Inspired By Rob Canyon
While I’m getting real busy with my business underway I feel that I have to write something about a mentor named Rob Canyon. Rob is another genuine teacher in the Online Marketing industry who I learned many things from and have the highest respect for. A lot of the knowledge I gained from him come from building the mindset to achieve your goals plus many business related concepts that are crucial to success.
Here are three “Golden Nuggets” I learned from Rob in the past couple months that have helped me to move forward to the next level with my online business. I’m looking at my hand written notes in my journal now and giving you the best gems. There are many more than three but I only have limited time(I’m super busy with my goal).
*People think they need to learn more to get ahead….It’s not about learning more, it’s about goal setting and having a mentor to get you there.
What a shocker for me!! I realized that I had learned enough about online marketing and have enough knowledge to really start cracking…..so I went ahead and getting myself focused on affiliate marketing(where I have the knowledge and skill). I set a goal to be achieved by year end and I’ll do whatever it takes to get there. Stay tuned for a blog post at year end/new year 
*Money can’t be made. It can however be earned in exchange for providing what others really want.
This is darn true!! When you help others get what they want, you’ll get what you want. It’s circulation(aka. Think & Grow Rich and Law of Attraction).
*The faster you are trying to make money with the least amount of work, will fail.
If you don’t believe this then look around and see how many people are looking for the “holy grail”, “black hat” and other get rich quick junks and got scammed. And many of them still won’t give up looking for the next best gadget that will promise the moon just by pushing a button. They are trying to build a pyramid upside down(i.e no foundation).

The Power Of Believing
I recently had the pleasure to watch the movie Kung Fu Panda again on DVD at home and I noticed something interesting that resonated with me. It’s The Power Of Believing. Below are some dialogues from the movie:
Mr. Ping: We are noodle folk. Broth runs through our veins.
Mr. Ping: The secret ingredient is… nothing!
Po: Huh?
Mr. Ping: You heard me. Nothing! There is no secret ingredient.
Po: Wait, wait… it’s just plain old noodle soup? You don’t add some kind of special sauce or something?
Mr. Ping: Don’t have to. To make something special you just have to believe it’s special.
Po: There is no secret ingredient…
I remember on two separate occasions where I cooked the exact same Spaghetti Bolognese(I’m addicted to Barilla, remember?). Once I was very happy with myself and enjoying friends’ company and the other time I was in a place with some “not so nice” people. When I was with those “not so nice” people I didn’t believe that they would like my cooking but I still did my best to cook. The result?? I was darn right!! They didn’t think it was that great and blah blah….(they’re not so nice, you know?) The Funny thing was that even I thought something was missing too when I tasted it but I was darn sure I cooked everything the right way as it must have been the 1000th time that I cooked Spaghetti Bolognese(no kidding!!)…….But the time when I was with good friends enjoying their company and laughter they all commented that it tasted great, and the evidence to prove it was that there was no left over.
Now thinking of those two times cooking the same dish I’m pretty sure that it had something to do with my believes and also the energy/vibration that I put in when I was cooking which resulted different taste. It’s quite amazing to have discovered that your believes can affect many different areas of life such as cooking!!

FTC’s New Ruling on Endorsements and Testimonials
I just found out about this a couple days ago. The FTC(Federal Trade Commission) has made new rules on how endorsements and testimonials ads should be or faces $11,000 fine per case.

The major changes seems to be that advertisers will have to disclose results that “consumers can generally expect”.
The hard part for this is: What is a general result then?? How do you define it?? So if somebody used a holy grail stock market trading system and made a million dollars and the other person didn’t make a dime, would the general result be half a million??
Also, for affiliates, who use blogs to promote products must “disclose the material connections they share with the seller”.
This part is actually quite good in my opinion. I’ve personally seen many sites and blogs who try to do reviews on products and they tend to just praise certain products with outrageous claims trying to make affiliate commissions while pretending they are reviewing the products that they are trying to sell!! And they probably never used those products themselves!!
This new ruling by FTC seems a bit confusing while at the same time can be an exciting opportunity for marketers who are sincere and genuine.

The Secrets To Happiness
I have been pondering for a while about why I want to be an online marketer(i’m still a newbie!). First I came up with answers like “I wanna make money” or “I want a nice house/car/yacht etc)” or “I can spend more quality time with loved ones”. But what I’ve discovered at the end was that the ultimate goal of being an online marketer was really “Being Happy”.
Why do I want to make more money?? Because that will make me happy!!
Why do I want a nice house/car/yacht etc?? Because that will make me happy!!
Why do I want to spend more time with loved ones?? Because that will make me happy!!
Isn’t it interesting that all my goals in life end up with “Being Happy” as the ultimate answer?? It sounds like kindergarten stuff but I only just figured it all out now!! I’m not kidding!!
Then I started to look around people everywhere I go and I realized that many people are simply not happy. They always say things like: “When I make a million dollars I’ll be happy” or “When I have that new car I’ll be happy”.
The sad truth is that those people are almost never gonna be happy. What I believe is that even if they win the lotto they’ll still be unhappy from the inside!! They are most likely still have negative energies like fear, hatred, blame(and more) inside them and the money is just a cover up.
My understanding is that you need to learn to be happy to have true happiness. What I mean is that you need to build “muscles”…..the happiness muscles. Have you seen people around who don’t have all the material things but they are happy?? And have you seen people who have lots of materials possessions around them but they never look happy?? I’m sure anyone reading this knows what I’m trying to say.
So how about start building Happiness Muscles today?? Instead of waiting or pushing hard in life to achieve all our dreams and goals, why can’t we just be happier and sail through our life journey??
Here is a great video I bumped into a few days ago which I finally just clicked and had an AHA moment!! There are 9 timeless secrets to be happy in this video and I agree with them wholeheartedly. I truly hope you all can learn something from this great video as well.

25 Things About Me That You Never Knew
Since I’ve been tagged by Andrew Vaughan and Karen Kalata(both Alex Jeffreys students and now great online buddies) I’ve decided to take the challenge and come out of the closet and say 25 things about myself. Hope you guys enjoy and at the same time getting to know a bit more about me.
1. I’m a spaghetti fanatic!! I’m addicted to Barilla pasta and I must have Barilla at least once a week or I’ll go nut!!
2. I fell asleep about half way through watching Titanic in the cinema.
3. I do have “blonde moments” like the blondes do(or deny they do) from time to time but I’ll always try to hide/remove/destroy the evidences as soon as I find out.
4. I often try to talk under water in my bathtub trying to invent a new language.
5. I believe I suffer from ADD(ADHD) but no one seems to believe me because people say I’m not supposed to diagnose myself and that I don’t seem to have a lack of attention to girls. Maybe some girls out there can help me cure my ADD??
6. I often mixed up San Diego vs Santiago. I might be dyslexic too apart from ADD.
7. I love to watch Forumla 1 and my favourite driver and team are always Michael Schumacher and Ferrari.
8. I once typed “f” instead of “d”(f is next to d on keyboard) for the word duck during an online chat to someone a few years back. The chat went something like this: “why don’t u have a duck for tonite?? U haven’t had one for weeks….thought u liked it so much”(we were talking about cooking/dinner etc)
9. I love going to toy stores and pushing all the buttons on as many toys/plushies that have buttons on as I could find. Believe me, I do this to entertain the kids who aren’t tall enough yet to reach those buttons…..
10. I often say to my teddy bear in my bedroom: “Are u my son??”.
11. I’m not sure why people hate spam so much cause afterall spam is a food…..perhaps better than kangaroo!!
12. My favourite beer is Tooheys New and for those who drink Fosters reading this you should know that nobody drinks Fosters in Australia!!(nor do people eat kangaroo here!!)
13. Whenever I see a lady who I know carrying a large size handbag I would normally comment: “Did u bring your lunch/dinner with u??” or “Are u camping??”.
14. When I drive I sometime would call someone going slower than me a grandma and someone going faster than me a maniac.
15. Just a couple days ago I found out that the word stressed spelled backwards is desserts.Sweet!!
16. I don’t like to keep my house too clean and spotless just in case people might think I’m gay.
17. I love riding Merry-Go-Rounds but I don’t know where I can do that and I need to have someone who would ride it with me so I don’t look like a dumba** myself.
18. I always dreamt of being an adult when I was a kid……now I’m jealous about the kids having such an easy life!!
19. I haven’t been to the doctors since 2002.
20. I love driving around to different places especially beaches, mountains and anywhere I can get in touch with nature.
21. I used to be able to bend over myself and touch my toes many years ago!!
22. I’m really nice to animals, especially dogs. Even the dogs at Animal Welfare League where I do casual volunteer work want to come home with me.
23. I’m quite a generous person(at least I think I am!).
24. Although I can cook reasonable well(at least I think I can!), I always like to be invited over for meals….because I don’t have to do the dishes!!
25. I wonder who the hell invented this 25 things about yourself and that you have to tag others after you’ve finished. Whoever invented this U’d better be hiding in the closet……
OK, so the project has now been completed. Now I’m going to tag 5 victims from Dean Holland’s coaching group and spread this virus around further.
